We have two very important updates and some news to share with you. On the updates, first, we will suspend our Wednesday night meals for the time being *(at least until after Easter). So we will not have a Wednesday night meal starting this Wednesday of this week. Second, we will likewise suspend our Wednesday night Awana program for the time being *(again, at least until after Easter). The reason for this is that there is no time with closer proximity of people in our church than what happens at the meals on Wednesday nights as we sit together and visit at the tables. So this would be a prime setting for germs to be spread. In light of this and to protect especially those who are most likely to struggle with the COVID-19 virus, we are taking these steps.
Please note that this means that our Wednesday night Bible study and children’s and youth classes will begin at 6:30 pm now and go until 7:20 pm. We will still have some classes for children and youth at this time, but as mentioned above, will not have the Awana program.
I’d like to express my appreciation for those who joined us online Sunday (or have viewed the service on Facebook since then). For our first attempt, all came out fine, although of course we hope to improve this in the coming weeks. We likely will keep broadcasting our 11 am service no matter what the time frame is for our current crisis, so plan that this will be a permanent feature of our ministries here at Jacob’s Well. And thank you for using our online giving options!
Also, please let us know if you need help on getting things, having someone go to the store for you, or helping with other needs. Our associate pastor, Chip, will be glad to talk with you about the needs to see how we can help.
May our Lord watch over each of you as we all seek to live for Him!
In Christ, Bro. Bill
